In short

  • We process Occaza Partners business, KYC, payout, and operations data to onboard you, pay you, and run the marketplace.
  • We may use service photographs, videos, and other Listing content in customer-facing marketing and promotions as described below and in the Terms of Service.
  • You receive limited customer data only to fulfil Bookings—do not misuse it.
  • You have DPDP rights (access, correction, grievance) subject to law.
  • Security is reasonable but not absolute.

Key definitions

  • “Personal data” — data about identifiable individuals (you, your staff, or customers) under applicable law.
  • “Processing” — collection, use, storage, disclosure, or similar handling.

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how OCCAZA EVENTS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED (“Occaza”, “we”) processes personal and business-related data for Occaza Partners using the Occaza Partners App. Read it with the Occaza Partners Terms of Service.

Applicability (DPDP)

Occaza acts as a data fiduciary for personal data we determine the purposes and means for, under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, subject to future rules and guidance.

Data we collect

We may collect:

  • Proprietor / authorised signatory identity and contact details;
  • KYC and verification data: government identifiers or identity documents, selfie or liveness images, and other materials you upload or that verification partners process for fraud prevention and compliance;
  • Business name, address, GST, PAN, bank/UPI, payout and verification documents;
  • Service categories, coverage, pricing, packages, photographs, video, and other listing content; quotes and GST breakdowns you provide through the Platform;
  • Customer data shared for fulfilment (see section 5);
  • Communications with customers and Occaza support;
  • Device, IP, logs, and analytics;
  • Ratings, complaints, and fulfilment history.

Purposes and lawful bases

We process data to:

  • Onboard and verify Occaza Partners (KYC, identity and liveness checks where used, fraud prevention);
  • Operate listings, approval workflows, Bookings, tax/GST display, and payouts;
  • Comply with law, tax, and regulatory requests;
  • Resolve disputes and enforce policies;
  • Improve the Platform (including aggregated analytics);
  • Promote and market Occaza, your Listings, and services available through Occaza to customers, including by using service photographs, videos, logos, descriptions, and other Listing content in customer-facing websites and apps, advertisements, social media, emails, notifications, public-relations materials, and promotional campaigns;
  • Market Occaza services to you where permitted.

Consent is obtained where required (for example certain optional communications). Necessary processing for the agreement with you may rely on other grounds permitted by law.

Customer data access

You may receive customer name, contact, location, timing, preferences, and notes needed for fulfilment. You must: use it only for that Booking and reasonable support; not market without valid consent; not sell or share with unrelated third parties; secure it and limit staff access; delete when no longer needed for fulfilment subject to law.

Sharing Occaza Partners data

We may share with: customers (for discovery, Listings, Bookings, and customer-facing marketing or promotions); payment and banking partners; KYC providers; cloud and communications suppliers; advertising, design, public-relations, and social-media service providers acting for Occaza; authorities when required; and professional advisers under confidentiality.

Service photographs, videos, logos, descriptions, and other Listing content may be displayed publicly through Occaza's customer-facing apps, websites, advertisements, social-media accounts, emails, notifications, public-relations materials, and promotional campaigns. The licence and partner warranties governing this use are set out in the Occaza Partners Terms of Service.

Cross-border transfers

Transfers outside India follow the DPDP Act and applicable notifications (permitted territories or safeguards).

Retention

We retain data while your account is active and afterwards as needed for tax, disputes, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.

Security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures apply. No system is perfectly secure.

Your rights

Subject to law, you may request access, correction, erasure where allowed, withdraw consent for optional processing, or account closure. Withdrawing essential data may end our ability to serve you.

Children

The Partners App is not for users under 18.

Automated decision-making

We do not use solely automated decisions with significant legal effect about you, except as needed for fraud prevention or as disclosed.

Updates

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified via the Platform (and email where used). Continued use may constitute acceptance where permitted.
